Throughout his training in pharmacy, he procured a unique understanding and love of pharmacology and the science of pharmacognosy. Pharmacognosy is a branch of pharmacy that deals specifically with the study of medicinal and/or pharmaceutical substances derived from natural sources including plants, fungi, and animals.

Having trained as both an osteopathic and allopathic physician and a pharmacist, Dr. Gretzula has incorporated a more holistic approach into his practice. His other passions include art, science, and nutrition.

There are tremendous parallels between art and science, as each reflects and incorporates creativity and the curiosity for the unknown. They both reflect on a very simple premise “to explore and reflect an interest in creating something new”.

Gone are the days of “one size fits all” patient care. A more personal approach — one specifically tailored to a person’s needs — should be the focus of medical practices today. The interaction between a person’s genotype, their nutritional intake, behavioral lifestyle, and socioeconomic environment together influences overall health. Dr. Gretzula’s program at Beauty Within combines a personalized and precise nutritional plan and counseling services to support health, wellbeing, and increased productivity. This science-backed approach to aesthetics, anti-aging, and wellness is designed to enhance the beauty within so that you can both look and feel great.
